My Story

Hello my name is Alan. I am 40 years old. I am in the military on active duty for 13 years now and I love what I do. I have a beautiful wife and two boys and there is nothing I won’t do for them. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY I was always a very active person. I loved bike riding when I was younger with my father in the streets of the South Bronx when I was  about 8 years old. A few years after that I met my friends and I would go out riding all over New York, even as far as New Jersey just over the George Washington Bridge just to get a slushy from 7 Eleven. I enjoyed playing sports and having fun my biggest thing growing up was playing softball in the Police Athletic League as well as playing sponge ball in the back of one of the Junior High School in my neighborhood. I attended Morris High School in the Bronx from 1991-1995. In my Junior Year, I was in a Cooperative Education Program where I worked in an office one week and went to school the other week. The week when I was in school, I engaged in minimal gym activities which was weight training. Although I wasn’t really into weight training yet I did start to take a liking to it. After I graduated High School I worked for a little bit, then I joined the military in 2004.  I was only 155 pounds when I got out of basic training I was 190!! I loved the results and ever since I just loved to work out and stay in shape. Fast forward I am now 225 and I continue to go to the gym and stay active because 1. I have to be (Its an Army requirement) and 2. I enjoy dong it.
